Degrading Sizing and Color Elements

Working with several textile fabricators in the Caribbean Basin and Central American Countries, AquaClean has been used as the active agent in ecologically green systems that use gravity feed pass-through lagoon systems. The waste water is allowed to pass through a series of lagoons, which provide the retention time and environment to degrade the organic components of the discharge.

The first lagoon is facultative, and caustic soda and some micro-nutrients are added, along with AquaClean ACF-32.The dosage will vary with the load and flow, and ACF-32 is added to the other lagoons at a decreasing rate. The system is very cost effective, as it does not require electrical aeration and pumps, and does not require advanced technical support of the operations.

The water is clear and the BOD is less than 5,an excellent performance based on an all natural process. The above example is a blue jean stone washer, where the influent is certainly contaminated with the blue dyes being washed out of the fabric.
